thats actually a good question! the Nikon D5000 got a monitor that you can rotate and stuff and shoot over head of crouds. It also has the Nikon D90 sensor that has 12.0 Mega Pixels. The Canon Eos 50D has got 15 Mega Pixels but just 9 focus points. The Canos allows you to capture Full HD video. The D5000 can record "Just" HD vidoes. i hope it helped...

michael when your doing macro on live view and you use the focus zoom button how come the photo comes out smaller than what you see in the screen even after you have put the focus lock on

  3. lueisadude says:

please don't be bias..but what are the pros/cons of the 50D..because i'm considering of buying one.

  4. PhilTheBurn says:

Nice one, I was wondering why I was struggling with Live View. Thanks.

  5. TJHOW1 says:

have you used the 7d, how much quicker is it compared to the 50d, is it worth £500 more?

  6. asyarihahaha says:

@kmacdigi Glad to help- You may want to check out the DVD I have on the 50D, there is a link to it above. Very helpful. Best wishes

  8. kmacdigi says:

@MichaelTheMentor You're exactly right. it was in automatic sports mode from my son's swim meet! ha ha! I have a lot to learn. thank you so much!

  9. MichaelTheMentor says:

@kmacdigi Check your Mode Dial- if you are in the Automatic Modes, you wont see it. Turn it to P, Av, Tv, or M and try again. ;)

  10. kmacdigi says:

I have this camera, - since Dec. 2008, but the live view options are not listed under that menu. am I missing some sort of update?

  11. phildas says:

canon EOS50D without a doubt! Else look at a Nikon D700 or something...

  12. phildas says:

cool How is the photography going?!!!

  13. htc reviews says:

with ‘we leave it to you to decide’.

  14. TroubleshQQter says:

depends on what you wanna do with your camera. are you used to single lens reflex cameras? did you photograph earlier, maybe with an analog SLR?
or are you a total beginner?

  15. mbpetally says:

@LSFreeBird See my posting about the 50D - biggest sensor one can buy for the money, so I went for it. Cheers Mark

  16. mbpetally says:

Hi, I have had film SLR's for years and I wanted to move to DSLR's. After researching on the internet, and spending a bit of time thinking about sensor sizes, I bought the EOS 50D this week. It had the biggest sensor I could get for the money I had. It's great. No regrets, although I have a lot to re-learn.

  17. BlankMessageTV says:

cant really compare its really what u like most i enjoy canon most.. but nikons are really great their pictures come out more crisp in my opinion

  18. BlankMessageTV says:

the 50d is more than just a step up dont let price fool you its a powerful camera

  19. cocorrancho says:

@nickomc91 well with all I know of cameras, Im compleatly sure that eos 50 d is better than nikon d5000 for much!

Actually, there's a new model of canon which is cheaper and better.. its caller Canon t2i or canon eos 550
    its really really good!

  20. nickomc91 says:

I had my mind set on a 1000D/Rebel XS until I studied more into the 50D, now I can't make up my mind whether I should go for the 1000D entry level (I'm new to DSLRs) or go for the camera that might be a step up from entry but maybe that doesn't matter? please help, Thanks.

  23. Turk66460 says:

i had a Canon 40D and it was great camera. when i get some money saved next purchase is going to be a 50D for sure. My friend has nikon d40 and i didn't like it, it was not user friendly.

  24. newcoyote says:

@bagusbali75able Canon! Nikons a total crap and waste good material that could be used to make Canons. While you're at it throw out your PC and get a Mac. Seriously it is preference. You need to decide what YOUR needs and preferences are based on research, not just asking. You won't get a straight answer. Both are superb camera makers.

  25. handsomelok says:

@bagusbali75able if you have that kind of money , go buy Canon 7d or save some money to buy canon 40d ... and use that saved money to buy lens

  26. RangeRover87 says:

I´d say the same: Canon 50D!
i had my hands on the d90. the handling is better end the picture quality is better,if you ask me. you can use ISO 1600 what still produces quite good pictures and the 50d has a faster picrate.

  27. MichaelTheMentor says:

    Canon 50D!! :)

  32. On the other hand, a home equity loan could also have an adjustable interest rate. This would be unfavorable should the interest rates rise very high in the future. It could have very attractive introductory interest rates. To make sure that the rates are favorable, you have to know when the interest rates are going to be adjusted and how high the ceiling rate is. So the point is to check out what you are getting into.
