The guy who bawled out the bankers was a little rhetorical, but he did touch on the ace in the whole that the average citizen holds: the power to remove their savings from the big banks and to place them in community banks, S&L's, etc. Maybe by standing up and saying to these wolves, "You want me to keep my business with you? Then give me something besides a 0.12% savings return while extracting 6-8% on a mortgage... Like HEALTHCARE!!! Send your damn lobbyist over to the hill NOW!!"

Why are 86% of the NY Fed's MBS purchases happening during option expiry weeks since July 2009?, there has only been one options expiration week whereby the Fed did not buy at least $60 billion of MBS during the options expiration week itself, providing instant and meaningful liquidity during options expiration weeks that have historically had an upward bias anyway!... and talk about dumping (monetizing) WallStreet's debts on the American tax paying public.
