Product Description
This is a historic image of the New York Stock Exchange and Wilks Building at Wall and Broad streets, 1921. Irving Underhill photo.
The photo is taken in the year following the terrorist attack. On September 16, 1920, person or persons unknown exploded a bomb in front of 23 Wall Street, then as now the offices of J.P. Morgan Inc., causing 400 injuries, some of them horrific, and 33 deaths.
This is a print of the original photograph restored by Viktor Balkind. His restoration process removes all signs of mechanical and media damage while preserving aspects that make photographs of that era so unique.
