Those members of Congress who voted for this bill already in their committees did so without knowing what the legislation costs. Before it's too late, let's take a closer look. Is this a genuine complaint? Congressman Paul Ryan: I dont think we should pass bills that we havent read and dont know what they cost. I dont think that is being effusive. I have already proposed legislation, and a number of Republicans are proposing alternatives. You can look at The Patients Choice Act or go to my Facebook page and youll see that there are many proposals that we have put out there. We want to see health care reform done, but we want to do it right. If you rush this thing through before anyone even knows what it is, thats not good democracy. Thats not doing our work for our constituents. Whats wrong with going home for August having town hall meetings, listening to our constituents, and then coming back in September and doing this ...

Cap and Trade scares me (albeit I need to do some more research as my opinion here, I admit, is based on others opinions). It scares me because if we cap an energy company then naturally, less supply means higher costs to the end user (us). Economics 101. With that said I need to read the legislation. There are some good things in this bill for small businesses (i.e. tax credits, accelerated depreciation, getting rid of capital gains tax if you sell an asset, etc.). The right wing media are a bunch of sore loser crybabies who want Obama to fail and don't care if it comes at the expense of the country.

Quite the name there...... but I will agree with you on one point, the insurance companies are not helping this. Big business and all the excess bonuses which reward failure are no better. Remember this, the majority of Americans work in small businesses, a completely different world from Wall Street. So let's not penalize the small businesses on account of the misguided folks on Wall Street.

There are some potentially very good things in the healthcare legislation. Especially with the reconciliation fix’s. The Democrats, Bernie Sanders and the Whitehouse did a GREAT! job of fighting to produce the best healthcare legislation that they could. They have earned all our strong support. And we should give it to them.
But it was your relentless pressure and hard work that made the difference. Whatever good comes from this healthcare legislation, America and the peoples of the World will have each of you to thank. You were smart, creative, courageous and relentless. You fought together for the best legislation possible. And when you had to, you fought alone. WE THE PEOPLE have been crystal clear that we want an end to dependence on for-profit healthcare and the for-profit proxies called private for non-profit healthcare. The American people want the CHOICE! of a strong Government-run Public Option to replace their need or dependence on healthcare providers whose primary motivation is profit.
