@imthemac420 people are going to suffer either way, the less of the two evils is preferable in my opinion. The flock of sheep known as man will never make the right collective choice. Children will never take their medicine.

how about no government at all id rather that

  3. imthemac420 says:

What do you mean by survived peak oil? They just left the USSR like every other eastern satellite state did. N i laugh when "environmentally-minded" people are willing to look the other way when human-rights are being trounced for mother earth.

"Anarchy has to ensue before a true police state arises in America"
What are you talking about. We already have a police state in Amerikkka. Trying protesting without getting a permit. Try owning a gun without a license. Try not stopping at a DWI checkpoint. There, thats the 1st, 2nd, n 4th amendments right already.

  5. westkan says:

I really doubt a "police State" is required, but it's critical that enough Americans realize there's a problem to be solved. Anarchy has to ensue before a true police state arises in America. Even then there's no garantee tht the police state would address the concerns mention in the video. We would be better off working with what we have first

thanks for posting, this is useful to me

Actually, in a way, that's the formula for Cuba--who managed to survive "peak oil" when the Soviet Union collapsed in the early '90s. I think they may have been "helped" in a way because it was a dictatorship and not a free market capitalistic society.

  8. blowfun says:

forming a police state that aims at long term planning/ investment and slow growth is the solution. Free market capitalism and careful planning do not go together.

  9. Chaffinch4 says:

Well yesterday, in Britain, the chairman of the National Endowment for Science, Technology & the Arts (Lord Puttnam) urged video games to be used to spread the message about global warming. We just need them to add various "Peak Moments" to what's covered in the games.

Shame folk have stopped reading though.

I was being a little facetious. Probaly not benefical, but hey let's look on the bright side, the beach will be closer to your home now.

i would not necessarily call it a benefit..

  12. DFORCE1969 says:

squabbling & killing for diminishing fossil reserves is futile ;Only through co-operation
& rational planning can humanity hope to survive with any kind of technological base; The alternative is barbarism, feudalism or fascism; In which case our species does not dserve to survive.

  13. LastReplaySC says:

I mean the video game industry is teaching kids that they should fight world wars for energy and that kind of programming has been going on for at least 10 years on main stream. I don't see an alternative "programming-teaching" from you "Generation failures" on offer. your not reaching the entire bandwidth of people.

  14. LastReplaySC says:

they are all reaching the wrong kind of crowed and selling the issues totally wrong to the younger generation who will fully need to live and deal with this scarcity.
They need to make 3 version of all presentations ... 1 for morons and 1 for kids and their versions for intellectuals and academics.

  15. valhala56 says:

Gobal warming has caused the Nothwest Passage to open up, unintended consequence, most will not be like this particular benefit of Global warming.
