    @mattbaldea

    what?

    he can't win. forget it.

he doesn't have the personality, charisma to win. that is what people want. he sounds bad, not like a politican.

with that said, I will vote for schiff.

but, he is not going to win.

    @careymahoney1974
    YOU SOUND LIKE A SLAVE

  3. beebop46n2 says:

@careymahoney1974 And because you and others think like that, he won't have a shot. Good luck to you when government takes over. You think it can't happen? Really? You think our government is above the others that have attempted to rule the world? People in this country need to start researching and listening to reason and stop our phony political system acting in only their best interest. Peter Schiff is WAY better then the others and if you and others can't see that God help us all.

Don: I think your videos are getting better and better. I find myself more informed about MONEY when I finish listening to a vid.

A hope more subscribe you and hear what you have to say. Much luck in your career and thanks!

Social security is great, if you have the money for it. Printing money to pay for all that crap is a tax. The govt hands out more money and your money becomes worth less. Use your head. The United Corporatocracy of America is running the country and they sure as hell dont care if your money is worth less. They'll just put it on your tab.

    Nobody should question my manliness,
    but,
    I love Peter Schiff.
The guy is smart, and knows exactly what he is talking about.
Good luck in, (oh my god), Connecticut.

  8. careymahoney1974 says:

Schiff SHOULD be the guy to get the job, but he has no shot.

Sorry Peter. You don't because you just don't have the network needed to win. I like you very much, and wish for you to get there, but Dodd's Buddies, as you put it, are just too powerful.

  9. ayokay123 says:

If you knew anything about Social Security, you'd know that it's NOT broke, nor will there be any problem with until approximately 2044. Know something about what you're talking. As for Medicare, it is NOT broke, but it certainly risks getting to that point and needs to be fixed. Very little of the funded mandates go toward Medicaid in comparison to Medicare, but again, it's something that can be fixed. Of course, your ilk would probably love to see the poor, infirm, and aged just die, right?

  10. petiemac12 says:

lol....What kind of brainwashing economics school did you attend? Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid ARE all BROKE! Nobody said they don't work but they are broke, Ponzi schemes work too!

  11. petiemac12 says:

Chris Dodd just wanted to save himself the embarrassment of losing to Schiff!

  12. UglyMannheim says:

And while I am asking questions, what is your take on this Move Your Money movement coming from the left?

  13. UglyMannheim says:

Don, I am a Peter Schiff fan and I have become a fan of yours since finding your videos a few months ago. I know Libertarians are against regulation in general but I would be interested to know what you (and Peter) think of the 1999 repeal of the GlassSteagall Act. Was it a good or bad thing in your opinion?

  14. BrngBckOldCOB says:

Social security is a completely UNsuccessful monetary obligation. The first woman who received social security got 20,000 dollars out of the system and didn't put in a dime. That's pretty unfair. Social security is completely unsustainable and we will see that when the baby boomer generation retires in droves.

The only solution to society's problems is quit taxing so much and allow people to save for their retirement and medical costs when they get older. We are living on borrowed time.

  15. ayokay123 says:

Giving jobs is a business owner's LAST priority. Jobs are an expense. If that job can be accomplished by technology, automation, etc., it's time to fire one more employee. Btw, social security, medicare, and medicaid ARE successful social "mandates", but of course, YOU would never accept or sign up for them, right? Please use YOUR head.

  16. BrngBckOldCOB says:

@ayokay123 Wow when will you people learn that there can never be a successful social mandate. You can give all the money in the world to certain groups and it won't help a bit. They are conditioned to think they are victims, and take no responsibility for their place in life.

Schiff would give qualified people jobs, assuming they were sufficient for the position. How is it productive whatsoever to give people jobs that aren't going to do them well? Please use your head.

Gov't guarantees are lobbied for by the same Fannie and Freddie. Corporates sued the government in the 1800's to give corporations the "right of a person" to lobby, therefor corporations are the person behind the curtain pulling string with their money. However, I'm surprises people just like gov't are brainwashed by special interest groups in believing that it is the gov't. Gov't that is left alone and accountable to the "patriots" is a better gov't.

We all know the frog story

You take the frog & put it in a pot of water. You put pot on stove, slowly the water comes up to temperature.

Frog comes up to temperature along with water and before it realizes there's anything wrong - He's COOKED - We ALL better get our head out the SAND
