Stevie Is TOTALLY BLIND! He was born with bilateral optic nerve hypoplasia. Recently Stevie earned his CD-H through CDSP, placing in each trial and in one trial earning the award for Highest Scoring Rescue Dog In Trial with a score of 194! On June 9th 2007 Stevie earned both his CD-H and his APDT Rally Level 1 title. More recently he has earned his APDT Rally Level 2 title. She believed in Stevie from the first day we brought him to class and continues to be his best coach and greatest cheerleader!

i just rescued a born blind beagle lab mix along with her sister and they are doing so great!! the only thing im worried about is walking stairs with him, i just carry him down and up the stairs
poor dog, hes beautiful!! my 4 yr. old, 40 lb. Brittany spaniel got 1st place in his last obedience trial. he did excellent!!

Thanks so much for posting this...I have a beautiful Shiba Inu who has gone blind in the last year due to cataracts. She does wonderful in the house! I wonder how blind dogs manage so well??? Again, thanks, this is an inspiration!
It is good for dogs to work - not least when they are blind.

Good dog! My dog went blind later in life, but she runs around, plays, loves everyone, and you can't even tell she is blind... well just don't change the furniture.

We have two blind dogs. I wouldn't trade them for anything else. They get around the house and farm so well that most people can't believe they're blind.

My daughter has ONH as well and I find it rather intresting that and animal has the same condtion as my child.. as it is soooo very rare!

This could be a little bit off topic but I just wanted to share a personal victory which might serve as a inspiration for others. I have recently lost over 50 lbs. using celebrity diet I read about online. They really do work.
