Good idea to legalize these traditional brews but how many will drink responsibly? That should be the greatest campaign now so as to stop the habit of drinking mpaka pesa iishe or having beer for b/fast, lunch and supper as many will for sure do.
Traditional brews be it Muratina, Changaa and busaa are very good. There is only a problem when people want to commercialize this products.Love muratina!!
Good report Ms Brenda Mulinya. But do another detailed report on only Busaa. Kindly let us know the correct recipe for clean hygienic traditional Busaa. I am sure there are some nice recipes in rural areas, especially West of the Rift valley.
@KTVKENYA Lol. can't compete with Muratina na Buzaa...stuff is nutritious! We only need some basic hygiene n strict party hours...homeboyz even over here over indulge!
@siasabora I just learned that Mzungu abolished our traditional bear so that he can introduce his white thing( the bear we buy in the bar) .
Selling 'Uki" ( kikamba) for business purpose is ok. All my primary school fees was paid by my parents selling kamba Uki ( traditional bear) but that was when the school fee was 15 (fifteen)Kshillings per tem and a Nzele ( traditional cup) of uki was 1 ( one) shilling.
@tekie87 Let my pple have the fun! The poor deserve a good time too!
Busaa shouldn't be a problem...yu could suck it using those 'mirijas' a whole week, non-stop. Done it!
pombe yakitamaduni sio mbaya, ubaya wako siku hizi watokana na tamaa ya kutengeneza pesa haraka na kuchanganya na madawa.Mwacha mila ni mtumwa
